Pierre Auguste Renoir's Happiness

Pierre Auguste Renoir perhaps is the best-loved for his subjects-pretty children, flowers, beautiful scenes, above all lovely women of all the impressionists, and he communicated the joy he took in them with great directness. `Why shouldn't art be pretty?', he said, `There are enough unpleasant things in the world.' He was one of the great worshippers of the female form, and he said `I never think I have finished a nude until I think I could pinch it.'

Renoir paintings are regarded among the best within the school of impressionism. He used his brush to delicately paint color to the canvas by thin visible brush strokes dissolving the obvious outlines in favor of free touches of color which makes his subjects to connect together. He worked outdoor and the light and colors in his artworks are vibrant. And because of experience of working outdoors, in 1860s he and Claude Monet found that shadows are not black but reflected the colors around them which now know as diffuse reflection. Renoir believed that artworks should be fun, beautiful and pleasant to look at. His works most definitely emphasized this as he immortalized many a Parisian scene of joy and revelry, as well as pleasant scenes of peace and of course a number of nudes.

Dance at Moulin de la Galette perhaps is the most famous among Renoir artworks, which was painted in 1876. It depicts a Sunday afternoon at the Moulin de la Galette at Montmartre in Paris where working class Parisians would come to enjoy and be merry. As such, Renoir's focus on the joy and happiness of the scene is clear. Another famous Renoir is Luncheon of the Boating Party , It depict a group of Renoir;s friends having lunch on the balcony at Maison Fournaise on the Seine river outside of Paris. Again, we see the merry, happy aspect of painting shine through. These two perhaps are Renoir's most famous works. Renoir stayed true to his positive vision of art, of color and of sensuality thoughout his works. This warmth, joy and life in his paintings makes them a pleasure to observe, thus fueling his amazing popularity. A Renoir painting hanging on the wall will make any room a content place for joyous occasions, just as the artist intended.

With the help of an inkjet printer, this process could not only make duplicates, but it could produce copies that looked really close to the original picture. A Giclee reproduction takes any photograph and transfers it to a canvas with ease, and with the best quality. Rather than purchasing an expensive piece of original art, a person can get one that looks almost identical for much less. Of course, this only applies to people who enjoy art for its beauty instead of the value. Like with anything else, the technology had improved over the years, and a person could actually put a photo on a canvas.
